Movember Self Care

Intense Pulsed Light

Although men participating can’t shave their moustaches in November, they can get rid of unwanted hair elsewhere.  Sort out your MEN-u and offer free patch tests with “Movember Deals” so they can have IPL body treatments. Whether it’s a hairy back or chest, let them know what options you have available. IPL tackles all hairy areas and is effective at permanent hair reduction. It can also help any pigmentation concerns they may have.

Microdermabrasion

If men are clean-shaven (except for their Movember moustache) a microdermabrasion is a fantastic treat. Let them know what it does:

  • Removes dry skin and unclogs pores
  • Minimises oil production and refreshes the skin

If the Movember moustache is getting all the attention – make sure the rest of their face is ready too. To make sure the rest of their face is in excellent condition, make sure they know the benefits of professional exfoliation.

Collagen Lift

In the spirit of Movember, encourage men to take half an hour out of their week to focus on self-care. They can have a relaxing Collagen Lift treatment. Tell them it feels like a hot stones massage. They will feel super relaxed and achieve fantastic results at the same time.

Social Media

Run a competition on social media.  Encourage those taking part in Movember to post photos of their moustaches and choose the best one. The winner receives a free treatment of their choice.

Retail

Focus on retail products too. Men are much more open to personal health and wellness than they used to be – especially skincare! Self-care doesn’t stop after Movember, and skincare doesn’t stop once they’re at home.  A consistent skincare routine is key to combat common male skin problems like excess oil and ingrown hairs. They should trade in soap for cleansers – and introduce moisturiser if they don’t use it already. Encourage them to use daily SPF too, most men don’t and it is essential for all skin.

Make sure your Movember self-care offers are clear and concise. Personal grooming has a direct impact on physical health and mental well-being – so make sure Movember men come through your door.
